Shaban moon sighted, here is the date for Shab-e-Baraat
The Ruet-e-Hilal committee has announced that the Shabaan moon has been sighted and the Islamic month will begin from Friday.
By this sighting, Shab-e-Baraat will fall on February 13.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, held a meeting today to determine the sighting of the Shaban moon. The meeting was attended by central and zonal members of the committee, along with technical experts.
After receiving reports from various regions of the country, Chairman Azad announced that the first day of Shaban al-Muazzam 1446 AH will be Friday, January 31. Consequently, Shab-e-Barat will be observed on Thursday, February 13.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced that skies were clear across most of Pakistan and that the moon was sighted in Quetta and Thar.
During the meeting, special prayers were offered for national security, a resolution to the Palestinian conflict, the soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their lives for the country’s security, and for rain.
