Earthquake of magnitude 5.3 shakes Punjab, KP districts
Residents of various districts in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced tremors from an earthquake measured at a magnitude of 5.3, the Seismological Center reported.
The earthquake’s epicenter was 121 kilometers deep and located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
Tremors were reported in several areas, including Upper Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur, and Ghizer, as well as major cities such as Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujrat, Taxila, and Wah Cantt.
In response to the earthquake, many residents fled their homes in fear.
Officials have confirmed that, as of now, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage.
Approximately two week ago, Islamabad, Peshawar and several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced strong earthquake tremors, sending people rushing out of their homes while reciting prayers.
