NEPRA reduce tariffs for electric vehicle charging stations
NEPRA has approved a significant reduction in tariffs for electric vehicle charging stations following a request from the federal government.
The authority has announced that the basic tariff will decrease from Rs45.55 to Rs23.57 per unit.
This decision results in a reduction of 21.98 per unit for electric vehicle charging stations.
Additionally, NEPRA has agreed to remove the capped margin of Rs24.44, allowing the market to determine the margin freely.
The federal government initiated this request to NEPRA, aiming to promote the use of electric vehicles and improve accessibility to charging infrastructure.
Recently, the government has announced that the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged, following a notification from the Finance Ministry.
