Security forces killed 12 terrorists linked to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan during two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan’s Washuk and Mastung districts on August 5 and 6, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted as part of the ongoing “Radd-ul-Fitna-3” campaign against terrorism.

The ISPR said that on August 5, security forces tracked the movement of six terrorists in Washuk district. Acting on intelligence, troops launched a successful operation and killed all six militants belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan.

On August 6, security forces carried out another intelligence-based operation in Mastung district, killing six more terrorists linked to the same group. During the operation, forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout, the military said.

The ISPR said the two operations resulted in the elimination of 12 terrorists over two days, describing them as successful intelligence-led actions against foreign-backed militants.

Sanitisation operations are continuing in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence and ensure the region is fully secured, the statement added.

The military said security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, will continue operations under the national Azm-e-Istehkam vision to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
