Karachi to experience hot, humid weather today
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi will experience hot and humid weather today, with temperatures expected to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius.
Due to the increase in humidity, the heat index may feel like 40 to 41 degrees Celsius.
The department stated that intermittent strong winds will continue in the city, and there is an expectation of some improvement in the weather due to sea breezes in the evening.
The PMD has also warned of severe heat next week, predicting temperatures could reach or exceed 40 degrees Celsius. An increase in heat intensity is anticipated in the coming days.
Currently, the temperature in Karachi is 32 degrees Celsius, but it feels like 36 degrees Celsius due to humidity, which is at 57%.
Winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 19 kilometers per hour.
Meteorological experts have advised citizens to take precautions during these hot days by avoiding direct sunlight, staying hydrated, and refraining from going outside unnecessarily.
