Imran Khan’s family denied meeting, but Bushra Bibi’s relatives allowed
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan was scheduled to meet his family at Adiala Jail on Tuesday, but the authorities denied them permission.
However, his wife Bushra Bibi’s relatives were allowed to visit.
Meanwhile, a controversy erupted at the jail entrance when PTI leader Babar Awan was granted access.
Tensions escalated between Khan’s legal team and the jail administration as lawyer Salman Akram Raja objected to Awan’s entry, stating his name was not on the approved visitor list.

PTI Secretary-General also questioned why Awan’s vehicle was allowed inside.
Raja demanded that the jail administration stick to the six names approved by Bushra Bibi and Islamabad High Court, including Salman Safdar, Usman Gul, Azam Swati, Hamid Khan and Aziz Bhandari.
Later, the jail authorities permitted Babar Awan, Niazullah Niazi, Salman Akram Raja, Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry, Naeem Haider Panjutha, and Salman Safdar to meet Imran Khan.
The jail staff claimed that all approved names had been communicated in advance, but disputes during the visits complicated the situation further.
Following the meeting, Salman Akram Raja told reporters that Imran Khan’s sisters were denied access despite a court ruling.
He announced plans to file a contempt of court petition over the matter.
Raja added that Khan was informed about ongoing legal proceedings regarding the issue and agreed that unauthorized meetings inside the jail were disrupting party discipline.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, expressed frustration, stating that despite waiting inside the jail for two and a half hours, they were not allowed to meet their brother.
