After two years, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has once again tested positive for Covid-19.

Bachchan himself announced the news to his fans in a tweet. He requested people who are close to him and have met him in the last few days to get tested.

Amitabh did not say whether he was in hospital or quarantined at home and he did not comment on the severity of the situation. People in his household, son actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan also tested positive.

The actor had contracted the virus in July 2020 and was admitted to the Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai.

His upcoming films include Ayan Mukherjee’s “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva”, Vikas Bahl’s “Goodbye”, “Onchai” and “Project”. Amitabh is currently hosting the 14th season of the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. While no official word is out yet, the shooting for the show is likely to be affected by this news.
