Barkhan: Fire in Koh Jandran forests rages on after 36 hours

A massive fire in the forests of Koh Jandran, located in Balochistan’s Barkhan district, has intensified, with authorities still struggling to contain it after 36 hours.

According to details, the fire has engulfed vast areas of the forest, posing a severe threat to the local ecosystem.

Levies Quick Response Force (QRF), forest department personnel, and local volunteers have been battling the blaze since last night, but the cause of the fire remains unknown.

The firefighting efforts are being hindered by a lack of proper equipment and insufficient manpower.

Strong winds have further fueled the flames, making containment efforts even more challenging.

Large portions of the forest, along with wildlife and medicinal plants, have already suffered extensive damage. Despite continuous efforts, the fire remains out of control after 36 hours.
