The daughter of former Quetta Commissioner Iftikhar Jogezai allegedly assaulted a private airline crew member, leading to the detention of both father and daughter by the Airport Security Force (ASF).

According to airline staff, Saima Jogezai, who was travelling with her father, got into a heated argument with a female flight attendant and punched her in the nose, leaving her injured.

The incident occurred on Serene Air flight 540 from Quetta to Islamabad. Witnesses report that the father-daughter duo had already misbehaved with the airline staff during check-in at Quetta Airport.

After boarding, the situation worsened when a flight attendant asked Saima Jogezai to fasten her seatbelt and close her meal tray. She allegedly lost her temper, used inappropriate language, and created a scene.

Sources say the flight attendant immediately informed the captain, who then contacted air traffic control and brought the plane back to the runway.

ASF officers were called onboard, and the captain ordered the removal of both passengers.

However, Saima Jogezai refused to deboard and, in a fit of rage, punched the flight attendant in the face. The impact caused the flight attendant’s nose to bleed, and one of her teeth was broken.

Following the assault, ASF detained both father and daughter. However, sources claim that the Balochistan administration pressured the airline to drop the matter.

Officials from the private airline stated that soon after the incident, the Quetta Commissioner arrived at the airport, spoke with ASF, and urged them to settle the issue.

According to airline sources, the commissioner had a written apology drafted from both father and daughter before they were released.

The injured flight attendant was transported to a hospital for treatment, and Serene Air has confirmed the incident.
