Karachi police issue traffic plan for Youm-e-Ali procession
The Karachi traffic police have released a detailed traffic plan ahead of the central procession marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA).
According to traffic police, the main congregation will take place at Nishtar Park on March 22 (21st Ramadan), following which the central procession will commence at 1pm.
To facilitate the event, M.A. Jinnah Road will remain closed to regular traffic from Guru Mandir to the Tower, while alternative routes will be managed by traffic police personnel to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles.

Procession route and road closures
The procession will start from Nishtar Park, passing through Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze, reaching Empress Market in Saddar. It will then continue through Saddar Regal, Tibet Centre, and back onto M.A. Jinnah Road, before concluding at Hussainia Imambargah in Kharadar via Bolton Market.
Alternative routes for commuters
Traffic from Nazimabad can use Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to reach the Garden.
Liaquatabad commuters can take routes via Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail.
Vehicles from Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi will be diverted via Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal.
Jail Flyover traffic will be redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
Traffic from Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish will be directed towards Kashmir Road via Society Light Signal.
Vehicles from Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir can use Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar to reach their destinations.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly and follow police instructions to avoid inconvenience.
