Karachi police have issued the route of Youm-e-Ali processions to mark the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali that would be taken out on Ramazan 21st (Monday).

The procession would start from Nishtar Park and conclude at the Hussaniyan Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar.

The procession will traverse from Nishtar Park to Empress Market in Saddar, passing through Numaish, MA Jinnah Road, and Sea Breeze. The procession will rejoin MA Jinnah Road at the Tibet Centre after crossing Regal and Saddar.

Police have created as many as 15 diversion points.

After the start of the procession, traffic will be redirected from Soldier Bazaar (Bahadur Yar Jung Road), Coast Guards, and Anklesaria Chowk to Nishtar Road while motorists coming from Nazimabad to MA Jinnah Road would be rerouted from Lasbela Chowk to Nishtar Road and then towards Garden for onward travel.

Liaquatabad: MA Jinnah Road bound traffic will be diverted from Teen Hati Chowk to Jail Road and then to Martin Road while vehicles would be allowed to use the Jail Chowrangi Flyover and proceed via Jamshed Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and Sharea Quaideen to Sharea Faisal.

Moreover, traffic from Stadium Road to MA Jinnah Road will be directed through New MA Jinnah Road, Dadabhai Noorji Road, Kashmir Road, and Society Light Signal to Shahrah-e-Quaideen for access to Shahrah-e-Faisal.

Those who would be coming from Gulberg to MA Jinnah Road would be diverted from Liaquatabad No 10 to Nazimabad Chowrangi No 2, then via the Habib Bank Flyover, State Avenue Road, and Shershah to Mauripur.

Meanwhile, traffic from Gurumandir Chowk will be diverted to Bahadur Yar Jung Road. Police have advised drivers from Shahrah-e-Quaideen for Numaish to bypass Society Office Chowrangi.
