Balochistan CM: Overseas employment opportunities opened for youth
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced that the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Programme has paved the way for respectable employment opportunities for young people abroad.
Speaking at an event for the programme, CM Bugti said the initiative is aimed at unemployed youth in Balochistan who have been struggling with uncertainty and despair.
“The provincial government has now opened doors for their respectable employment,” he stated.
He emphasised that the government is committed to bringing young people closer to the state and ensuring equal opportunities for their progress.

Expressing his satisfaction, Bugti revealed that the first batch of youth from Balochistan is departing for overseas employment today.
“They will not only build a better future for themselves but also serve as ambassadors for Pakistan and Balochistan. Their earnings will support their families, contribute to economic stability, and generate foreign exchange for the country,” he added.
The chief minister urged the outgoing youth to work hard with honesty and dedication and to uphold Pakistan’s reputation abroad.
“Providing education and development opportunities to Balochistan’s youth is the government’s top priority. Unlike other regions, our province faces unique challenges. Unemployment here can push young people towards anti-state elements. Therefore, restoring their confidence in the state through merit and good governance is essential,” he stressed.
CM Bugti instructed the Labour and Manpower Department and B-TEVTA (Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) to ensure that all remaining trained youth under the programme are sent abroad by June this year.
He also acknowledged PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s appreciation for the programme’s success, calling it a milestone in securing a brighter future for Balochistan’s youth. He advised the departing workers to focus wholeheartedly on their jobs and bring pride to Balochistan and Pakistan.
Bugti made it clear that the government has invested taxpayer money in their training and overseas employment.
“If any individual returns before the designated period without genuine reasons, they will be required to reimburse the government for the expenses incurred on them,” he warned.
The chief minister praised Adviser on Labour and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Labour Secretary, and DG B-TEVTA Tariq Javed Mengal for their efforts in implementing the programme. He reiterated that the Balochistan government has set a target to train and send 30,000 skilled youth abroad within five years and stressed the need for continued hard work to achieve this goal.
He assured that the government will continue such initiatives to provide better development and economic stability opportunities for the province’s youth.
Earlier, Adviser on Labour and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Education Foundation head Zafar Qadir, and DG B-TEVTA Tariq Javed Mengal also addressed the event, highlighting the programme’s importance and progress.
At the end of the ceremony, CM Bugti personally handed over visas and essential documents to the selected youth under the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Programme. The event was attended by provincial ministers, advisers, parliamentary secretaries, assembly members, and senior government officials.
