CM calls for a clear stance on terrorism
Speaking at the assembly, CM Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the fight against terrorism must be clearly understood. He questioned: “What rights have not been given to Balochistan?”
Highlighting the targeted killing of Balochs, he stated: “Why don’t we talk about reality? I have lost 380 of my people in this war. Innocent individuals were attacked on the Jaffar Express. Killing unarmed civilians is against Baloch traditions. Hospitality and brotherhood define our culture.”
CM Bugti warned that terrorists would be dealt with strictly and that those taking up arms against the state would be eliminated.
He criticised the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), accusing it of imposing its ideology through violence.
“Should we allow the BLA to impose its ideology through force?” he asked.
The CM stressed the need to engage Baloch youth, address their concerns, and provide employment opportunities to counter radicalisation.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the state, highlighting that the government spends Rs1.3 million on every student enrolled in Cadet College to secure their future.
