In the case of the assault on comedian Taher Anjum, by the president of the Muslim League Nawaz Cultural Wing, Anila Riaz, also known as Neeli Pari, the police have traced over 50 calls between them. Anjum has now forgiven the accused Riaz.

According to the police investigation, the call data record between Riaz and Anjum has revealed that they were already in contact.

Riaz had taken a rickshaw to reach the Assembly, and Anjum also reached near the Punjab Assembly after about half an hour.

Anjum has submitted a statement to the police pardoning Riaz.

It is reported that Anjum introduced himself while driving behind an official vehicle and passed through a police checkpoint.

After the incident of violence, Anjum left the scene in his vehicle.

Police sources say that about half an hour later, Anjum made a call to 115 (emergency line), and when the police arrived, he told them that the woman had also thrown stones at the car.

However, the police had doubts about this claim, as the CCTV footage did not show the woman throwing any stones.

After the incident, Riaz went to her sister’s house in Iqbal Town, leaving her mobile phone at her sister’s place and then fled. The police conducted raids at various locations using the call data record.

Riaz was arrested from the Tajpura area. During the raids, the police also went to Tahir Anjum’s house, where they found that Riaz had been present there from 1 am to 3 am. The police seized the CCTV records from Anjum’s house.

On the day of the incident, there were more than a dozen calls between Aniela Riaz and Tahir Anjum. Aniela Riaz has stated that she did all this in order to gain an office in the PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) party.
