Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday it had targeted central data infrastructure belonging to US technology company Amazon in Bahrain with cruise missiles.

The IRGC also claimed to have launched multiple waves of missile and drone attacks on US military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait as fighting between Tehran and Washington intensified.

The IRGC’s Aerospace Force claimed the Amazon infrastructure in Bahrain had been destroyed.

There was no immediate comment from Bahrain, the United States or Amazon, and the claim could not be independently verified.

In a series of statements carried by Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, the IRGC said the attacks formed part of the 24th wave of Operation Nasr-2, launched under the code name “Ya Roghayeh (S)” in retaliation for recent US strikes on Iran.

According to the IRGC, the first phase of the operation targeted a US military radar installation in Muharraq, Bahrain, rendering it inoperable, while a Patriot air defence system in Riffa was simultaneously struck by missiles and drones.

The group said the attacks were intended to remove obstacles to future large-scale air and missile operations and punish what it described as US aggression and actions threatening security in the Strait of Hormuz.

The second phase of the operation reportedly targeted US military facilities in Kuwait, including a long-range radar site, telecommunications centre, satellite reception systems and a missile defence radar.

The IRGC also claimed to have struck a hangar housing MQ-9 drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base, damaging or destroying several aircraft.

In a subsequent statement, the IRGC said it had expanded the operation to Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed an early-warning radar, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot air defence battery and a satellite communications system supporting US military operations.

The IRGC vowed that its campaign against US forces would continue, saying the destruction of the radar network would facilitate “more decisive and crushing” waves of future missile and drone attacks.

The latest strikes followed comments by US President Donald Trump, who said Iran had “lost everything, almost, militarily” after days of sustained American air strikes.

The US military has carried out repeated attacks on Iranian targets over the past several days, while Iran has responded with missile and drone strikes on facilities and bases it says are used by US forces across the region.
