Pakistan records zero deaths from Covid for second consecutive day
With the Covid situation improving across the country since the month of February, Pakistan reported no deaths caused by the virus for the second consecutive day, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data published on Thursday.
Out of 30,054 Covid tests conducted during the last 24 hours, 210 people tested positive for the virus. The Covid positivity rate also remained under one per cent, with 0.69% recorded across the country.
Currently, 445 people infected with the virus are receiving critical care.
In view of the declining rate of Covid, the NCOC on March 16 lifted all restrictions across the country except for mandatory vaccination.
With the ongoing massive vaccination drive against Covid, at least 101 million people have been fully vaccinated against the virus, while, so far, more than 219 million doses of jabs have been administered across the country.
