Goods transport fares to rise 60 percent after fuel price hike
1 min readThe Pakistan Goods Transport Alliance has announced a 60 percent increase in transport fares in response to recent rises in petroleum prices on Friday.
Alliance President Malik Shahzad Awan said petrol has gone up by Rs 205 and diesel by Rs 263.78 per litre over the last three months.
Shahzad Awan urged the government to abolish toll taxes and other levies, warning that failure to review current policies could bring Pakistan’s transport sector to a standstill.
