Covid shows continuous downward trend in Pakistan

Covid positivity ratio showed a continuous downward trend in Pakistan, with a rate of 2.72% recorded in the last 24 hours, according to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) data issued on Friday.

A significant drop in fatalities due to the coronavirus pandemic was also reported, as 25 people died of the virus in the last 24 hours, as opposed to the 43 fatalities recorded on February 23.

Out of 41,142 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 1,122 people tested positive for the virus, while 1,186 patients are currently receiving critical care.

So far at least 96 million people have been fully vaccinated against Covid across the country, with 389,409 people receiving the second dose during the last 24 hours.
