ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet on Friday has approved a 10 percent increase in the salaries and pensions of government employees in the budget 2021-22.

A special meeting of the Federal Cabinet on budget was chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, in which the budget for the next fiscal year, development programs and other issues were discussed.

According to sources, the federal cabinet has approved the budget proposals for the next fiscal year.

The opposition also lined up for the budget meeting

The opposition parties also lined up for the budget meeting, the opposition made a strategy to give the government a tough time.

On the other hand, federal budget worth Rs 8000 billion for the fiscal year 2021-22 will be presented today.

According to the budget document, the size of the economy will reach Rs 52,057 billion. The economic growth rate will be 4.8 per cent in the upcoming budget.
