Reuters reported that Pakistan has emerged as a powerful intermediary between Washington and Tehran, facilitating dialogue at a critical moment.
Fox News quoted President Trump as saying he decided to stop the fighting after discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir.

According to Dubai-based Gulf News, Pakistan’s longstanding and close relations with both Iran and the United States helped it establish itself as a credible guarantor of peace.
Praising Pakistan’s role as historic, TRT World pointed out that Islamabad’s mediation helped prevent the region from potentially devastating consequences.
Indian newspaper The Hindu also highlighted the persistent efforts made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for resolving the conflict.
