ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has eased corona restrictions, with plans to open parks, recreation areas and swimming pools in districts with rates below 5 per cent from May 30.

The NCOC meeting was chaired by Federal Minister Asad Umar. The meeting was attended by Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan through video link.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of SOPs and arrangements for vaccination.

The NCOC has decided that in case of a positive Corona report, an integrated quarantine system has been put in place for passengers.

The NCOC has banned tourists in Azad Kashmir, GB and KP restaurants for more than 50 years from June 1 without a vaccination certificate.

The NCOC has also made vaccination certification mandatory for tourists above 30 years of age from July 1, while vaccination of teachers over 18 years of age has been made mandatory till June 10 to maintain continuity in the education sector. Walk-in vaccinations have been provided across the country for teachers.

According to the announcement, examinations for 10th and 12th classes will start from June 23 and July 29, respectively. Provinces can start classes for 10th and 12th from May 31 to prepare for the exams.

Parks, recreation areas and swimming pools will be open in districts with rates below 5% from today, according to a statement from the NCOC.
