Pakistan receives 0.56 million doses of procured vaccine: Asad Umar
Federal Minister for Planning and Development and National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) Chief Asad Umar, on Thursday, shared that 0.56 million doses of procured vaccine reached the country yesterday.
Taking to Twitter, the federal minister added that another shipment of .5million doses will arrive tonight:
"Received 5 lakh 60 thousand procured vaccines yesterday. Another 5 lakhs will arrive tonight. Reviewed the vaccine administration situation in NCOC today and asked the provinces to increase the pace of vaccination to fully utilize the vaccines which have been made available."
0.8 million doses of COVID-19 has been administered in Pakistan so far:
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Faisal Sultan said on Wednesday that 0.8 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine had been administered in Pakistan so far. The campaign would be further sped up, he added.
SAPM shared these figures while talking to the media in Islamabad where he provided updates of Pakistan's vaccination campaign and future developments to come.
"I want to tell you that more than 0.8m vaccine doses have been administered in Pakistan and we want to take this campaign further and speed it up."
