Why we snore?

Have you ever thought why we snore? There may be any scientific reason linked to it. It happens when during sleep, the muscles of the mouth and throat relax. This makes trachea to narrow down which is the 'windpipe' and its purpose is to carry air from the lungs which decline airflow while breathing. Moreover, the tissues of soft palate and uvula shake and vibrate in narrowed airway. Hence, this entire process causes snoring.
