Veteran stage and TV actor Javed Kodu, known for his comedic brilliance and unique physical presence, has passed away after a long illness.

Javed Kodu was a household name in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, having entertained audiences with his humor and performances for over 45 years. He started his career in 1981 with the stage play ‘Sauday Baaz’ and went on to work in over 150 productions including Punjabi and Urdu films, stage dramas, and television shows.

He gained popularity not only for his impeccable comic timing but also for his distinctive short stature, which became a hallmark of his on-stage persona.
