1 min readPakistan batters’ poor performance continued in the second Test against Bangladesh in Sylhet, after the team bowled out for 232 runs in their first innings on Sunday.
Bangladesh, which scored 278 in their first innings, got a lead of 46 runs.
For Pakistan, seasoned batsman Babar Azam top-scored with 68 runs, while Shan Masood and Salman Agha contributed 21 runs each.
Sajid Khan’s aggressive batting helped Pakistan cut down the deficit against Bangladesh.
The No. 9 batsman hammered four sixes, including a trio in succession off Taijul Islam, after Pakistan had already lost nine wickets.
He was dismissed by Nahid Rana in the following over, finishing with a quick-fire 38 runs off 28 deliveries.
Muhammad Rizwan managed 13 runs, and Saud Shakeel was out for 8.
For Bangladesh, Nahid Rana and Taijul Islam got three wickets each.
