Punjab CM issue orders for digital medicine lists
The Punjab Chief Minister visited hospitals has ordered digital medicine lists in hospitals.
The Department of Specialized Healthcare in Punjab has initiated important measures to provide excellent medical facilities for underprivileged patients in government hospitals.
Under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, all public hospitals will display lists of available medications and ensure the supply of surgical and disposable items in ICUs.
A circular has been issued by the Department of Specialized Healthcare regarding modern facilities and arrangements in government hospitals.
The provision of surgical and disposable items in ICUs and other medical units will be ensured.
According to this circular, both digital and manual lists of medications will be posted in each hospital to inform patients about the availability of medicines.
These items include syringes, cannulas, drip sets, surgical tape, needles, surgical sutures, cotton rolls, cotton bandages, nasogastric tubes, and endotracheal tubes.
The establishment of special complaint counters in hospitals to address any issues faced by patients, the circular noted.
Additionally, the circular instructed hospitals to display staff duty rosters so that patients can access necessary medical personnel at any time.
Strict guidelines have been issued to improve cleanliness standards in hospitals, aiming to provide a hygienic and comfortable environment for patients.
