Eid al-Fitr holidays announced for educational institutions, official notification issued
The federal government has officially announced Eid al-Fitr holidays for educational institutions, with a formal notification issued by the Ministry of Education.
According to details, government schools and colleges will remain closed from March 31 to April 4 for Eid-ul-Fitr and spring break, while the new academic session will commence from April 7.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has also issued a notification regarding the Eid holidays, confirming that educational institutions in the province will observe a three-day break from March 31 to April 2.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted that Eid al-Fitr will likely fall on March 31.

Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet for Eid al-Fitr moon sighting
The Shawwal moon is expected to be born on March 29 at 3:58pm, and the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on March 30 to confirm the moon sighting.
At that time, the moon’s age will be 27 hours, making it easily visible.
However, the final announcement regarding Eid will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
