Pakistan to launch Digital Youth Hub for employment, education opportunities
The government has announced the launch of the Digital Youth Hub, a platform designed to connect young Pakistanis with career opportunities, scholarships, internships, and employment both domestically and internationally.
At the press conference, Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan stated that the platform will offer a range of services, including career counseling, employment listings and training programs.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Digital Youth Hub is part of the government’s larger initiative to enhance youth engagement through the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and the establishment of the National Youth Council.
These efforts target crucial areas such as education, employment, and skill development, with an emphasis on supporting youth from all provinces of Pakistan.
The Digital Youth Hub will connect young people with employers in both the public and private sectors, as well as international opportunities in countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and the United States.
This platform aims to help young Pakistanis find blue-collar, white-collar, and grey-collar jobs that match their skills.
The initiative is designed to be data-driven, allowing users to create profiles and receive personalized job and educational opportunities based on their qualifications. Described as an “AI-powered” portal, it will offer tailored recommendations for job placements, training programs, and scholarships.
The chairman noted that this hub will give young people access to numerous opportunities, whether for jobs abroad or scholarships.
A key feature of the platform is its support for job seekers, including an Interest-Free Loan Program under the Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Program, which will help with relocation costs for young workers moving abroad.
The official launch is scheduled for March 24, 2025, during a virtual event accessible to Pakistani youth worldwide, with participation from key figures in government, industry, and education.
Mashhood emphasized that this hub marks a significant step for Pakistan’s future, aiming to unlock the potential of the nation’s youth.
The Digital Youth Hub is expected to reach 10 to 15 million young people in its first year, serving as an essential tool for building a modern economy and providing hope for many aspiring professionals.
The event will also feature the launch of the official song for the Digital Youth Hub.
