How to apply for Punjab’s Super Seeder scheme?
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the third phase of the ‘Super Seeder scheme’ in the province to reduce smog and keep the environment clean.
In the third phase, a target has been set to complete the provision of 2,000 super seeders before the sowing of wheat in October. “With the use of Super Seeder, the remains of the paddy crop are mixed into the soil,” the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
A toll-free number 0800-17000 has also been established for further information and guidance of the farmers.
Here’s how you can apply for this scheme:

Applicants must fill out the form available at the website.

Applicants must submit complete applications, including an undertaking on Rs100 stamp paper, confirming they meet the eligibility criteria for the financial assistance.

Applications will be received at the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer (Field) or Assistant Director Agricultural Engineering in the respective district, where a record of applicants will be maintained.

Farmers also have the option to submit their applications at the tehsil level in the office of the Assistant Director Agriculture (Ext.).
Eligibility criteria

Farmer owns a tractor with a minimum of 65 horsepower.

Individual agrees to provide services to other farmers on a rental basis.

The person has not applied for machinery and equipment assistance under this scheme in any other district in Punjab.

A farmer must obtain the machinery and implements from pre-qualified firms within 20 days of receiving the allotment letter; failure to do so will result in cancellation of the financial assistance, which cannot be contested in court, with the subsidy awarded to the next eligible farmer on the merit list.

The allotment committee’s cannot be challenged in court once accepted.
