The second phase of the Punjab Chief Minister’s ‘Dhee Rani’ programme began on Sunday, with applications open for another 1,500 collectives.

Interested applicants can apply online through cmdotpunjabdotgovdotpk or submit applications at the Deputy Director of Social Welfare’s district office. A dedicated helpline (1312) has been established for programme-related information.

In the first phase, the provincial government organised 1,500 collective weddings under the programme.

Beyond the wedding ceremonies, the Punjab government would provide a meal for the bride, groom, and close relatives. Newlyweds would also receive a marriage gift of Rs100,000 via ATM from Punjab CM, along with essential household items, including furniture and clothing, to help them start their new lives.

“Punjab Dhee Rani programme reflected my deep love for my province’s daughters. Every daughter is dear to us, and it is a joy to see them start their families,” Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz said in a statement.

The initiative has been aimed at supporting underprivileged and marginalised communities.

“Caring for daughters and offering them support is a cherished tradition in Punjab. This is both a cultural and social responsibility that we hold dear,” she added.
