Man killed over WhatsApp group removal, police officer shot dead in separate attack

A man was shot dead in Peshawar’s Regi area after being removed from a WhatsApp group.

According to police, the suspect killed the group admin over the dispute.

The FIR states that an argument broke out over the removal, and as the parties were heading for reconciliation, the suspect opened fire, killing the admin.

Law enforcement has registered the case and begun an investigation.

In a separate shooting incident in Shahpur, a police officer and his brother were gunned down.

Three others sustained injuries in the attack. The deceased were identified as police constable Faheem Khan and his brother Naeem.

Authorities have launched an investigation and shifted the injured to the hospital.

Meanwhile, in another violent episode, unknown assailants shot and killed a doctor inside his clinic in the Sufaid Dheri area under the jurisdiction of the Pishtakhara police station.

The police have registered a case against unidentified suspects and initiated a probe into the murder.
