State-owned enterprises suffer Rs851.37 billion loss over two years

Performance report for FY-2023-24 released

State-owned enterprises have incurred a staggering loss of Rs851.37 billion over the past two years, bringing their total cumulative losses to Rs5.748 trillion.

According to the performance report for FY 2023-24, the National Highway Authority recorded the highest loss at Rs295.58 billion.

Quetta Electric Supply Company reported a loss of Rs120.45 billion, while Peshawar Electric Supply Company faced a deficit of Rs88.72 billion.

Pakistan International Airlines recorded a loss of Rs73.59 billion, and Pakistan Railways suffered losses amounting to Rs51.37 billion.
