PMD says cold, dry weather expected today in various parts of Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department predicted that various areas of Pakistan are expected to experience cold and dry weather on Thursday (today).
The isolated regions in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are likely to see cloudy conditions with light rain or light snowfall on Thursday and Friday.
Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry conditions prevailed across most of the country, with hilly areas experiencing very cold weather.
Light rain and snowfall were experienced in upper KP and GB on January 29.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded over the last 24 hours were -9C at Leh, -6C at Skardu, and -5C at Gupis. Other areas, including Parachinar, Malam Jabba, Astore, Bagot, and Kalat, recorded temperatures as low as -3 degrees Celsius.
On January 27, cold and dry weather prevailed across the majority of the country, with very cold conditions reported in hilly regions.
A similar condition was seen on January 17 as a severe cold wave swept across the country, bringing light rain and snowfall to western Balochistan and upper KP.
