Gold prices soar in Pakistan amid intl market surge
Gold prices in Pakistan surged significantly on Wednesday, reflecting a rise in international rates.
In the local market, the cost of gold per tola rose by Rs4,250, reaching Rs287,450.
Meanwhile, the price for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs3,642, bringing it to Rs246,440, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
This follows a previous increase on Tuesday, when the gold price per tola rose by Rs300 to settle at Rs283,200.
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant jump on Tuesday, mirroring a rise in international rates. Ten grams of gold also saw a price increase of Rs257, selling at Rs242,798 on January 21.
One week prior, the price for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs1,201, bringing it to Rs240,741.
