Gold prices record uptick in Pakistan
The price of gold increased by Rs400 in the domestic market of Pakistan to hit Rs217,600 per tola on Tuesday.
The yellow metal was available at Rs217,200 per tola the previous day, the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
Gold 10 grammes was up as it increased by Rs343 to Rs186,557 per 10 grammes from the Rs186,214 on Monday.
Similarly, the price of 10 grammes of 22 karat gold went up to Rs171,011 from Rs 170,696.
The price of per tola and 10 grammes silver remained unchanged at Rs2,670 and Rs2,289.09, respectively.
International gold prices were subdued on Tuesday as a slight uptick in the dollar countered support from falling Treasury yields, while investors await US economic data due this week that could further illuminate the Federal Reserve’s interest rate path.
Spot gold was steady at $2,025.70 per ounce while US gold futures were also flat at $2,040.70.
