Gold prices soar in Pakistan in line with int’l market
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant jump on Tuesday, mirroring a rise in international rates. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of gold per tola increased by Rs300, reaching Rs283,200.
Ten grams of gold also saw a price increase of Rs257, selling at Rs242,798.
This follows a Rs500 increase on Monday, when the price per tola settled at Rs282,900. The upward trend is directly linked to the international gold market, where the price climbed to $2,711 per ounce (with a $20 premium), a $3 increase from the previous day, according to the APGJSA.
In contrast to the gold surge, silver prices remained stable at Rs3,372 per tola.
