Car sales in Pakistan jump 51.32% in first half of FY 2024-25
Recent data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA) reveals a remarkable increase in car sales during the first six months of the current financial year 2024-25. Sales surged by 51.32%, with 46,398 cars sold compared to 30,662 units during the same period last year.
Breaking down the figures, sales of the Honda Civic and City reached 6,404 units, up from 3,938 units in the previous year.
Meanwhile, Toyota Corolla and Yaris witnessed a staggering 82.47% increase, selling 9,633 units compared to 5,279 last year.
Suzuki Swift also saw a significant rise, with sales climbing 60.71% from 2,230 units to 3,584 units this year. However, not all models experienced growth.
Sales of the Suzuki Cultus slightly increased to 1,130 units from 1,062 units last year, while Suzuki WagonR sales fell to 1,159 units, down from 1,829 units.
On a positive note, Suzuki Alto’s sales rose by 46.16%, increasing from 13,405 units to 19,594 units.
Additionally, Suzuki Bolan’s sales surged to 3,013 units, a significant jump from 1,179 units in the same months of the previous year.
