New Year to bring more cold weather in Karachi, forecasts Met Office
The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has forecasted that Karachi is will experience the minimum temperature, ranging between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours.
Residents can expect cold and dry weather, with maximum temperatures likely to reach between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius.
Over the past 24 hours, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius, accompanied by northeastern winds at speeds of 8 to 10 kilometers per hour and humidity levels at 41%.
In addition to the chilly temperatures, the PMD has warned that Karachi’s air quality is hazardous.
The city ranked as the second most polluted in the country, with an alarming Air Quality Index of 214.
