PMD forecasts severe cold weather in Islamabad
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a warning due to an ongoing severe cold wave affecting the country, especially in the capital city, Islamabad.
Islamabad experienced a high temperature in Islamabad yesterday, adding to the already chilly weather.
Authorities have advised farmers to plan their activities according to the weather forecast, especially considering potential frost conditions.
It is recommended to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure in cold and windy weather during the night and morning hours. Additionally, tourists and travelers visiting mountainous areas should exercise caution during this period.
The forecast indicated that the upper regions of Pakistan will endure severe cold, with temperatures in many northern districts expected to drop well below zero. Morning hours may bring frost to Islamabad, the Potohar region, and certain flat areas of Punjab, intensifying the cold conditions.
