The Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather conditions in several areas of Pakistan from December 5 to 10.

On Thursday and Friday, cold and dry weather is anticipated across most regions of the country, with very cold conditions expected in northern areas. Patches of fog may develop in the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night hours.

Furthermore, on Saturday, cold and dry weather will persist, although partly cloudy skies are expected with chances of rain and thunderstorms, including snowfall over the mountains, in isolated areas of upper KP and Gilgit-Baltistan. Fog may also form in the plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night.

Rain and thunderstorms, alongside snowfall in mountainous regions, are likely in isolated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, and the Pothohar region. Additionally, smog and fog are expected in the plain areas of lower Punjab and upper Sindh during the early hours and nighttime on Sunday.

The weather will continue to be characterized by rain and thunderstorms, with snowfall anticipated over mountainous areas in isolated regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, Pothohar, and northeast Punjab. Fog is also likely to develop in the plain areas of lower Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night on Monday.
