In a disturbing incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Mhow, two Army officers undergoing training were attacked by armed assailants while on a picnic with two female friends.

The attack occurred on September 11 in the Jam Gate area, where the group was surrounded by eight to ten men armed with pistols, knives, and sticks.

During the assault, the attackers beat the officers and stole their valuables. They then held one officer and one of the women hostage, demanding a ransom of ₹10 lakh for their release.

After being released, one officer reported the incident to his commanding officer, prompting police intervention.

Upon arrival, police found the assailants had fled. Medical examinations later confirmed that one of the women had been gang-raped.

Authorities have since filed a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code related to robbery, rape, and the Arms Act.
