Punjab’s education ministry has decided to start early summer vacations in the province due to the heatwave. Holidays would begin from May 22.

He took to the decision in response to his post on social media post.

Over 7,000 social media users responded to the minister’s post, with 96% of parents expressing a demand for immediate school vacations because of the scorching temperatures.

The permission to open a school will be granted with the specific purpose of holding exams.

A new official notification regarding these upcoming holidays is expected to be issued either today (Monday) or tomorrow (Tuesday).
