Cold wave to persist across Pakistan
Amidst winter waves country’s temperature has declined for weeks, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) recorded a 2-degree Celsius minimum temperature in Islamabad and predicted a further increase in cold waves on Friday.
The Met Office predicted that Murree could witness mercury in minus and temperature in several cities of Punjab including Galiyat, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Multan, Hafizabad, Jehlum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, and Lahore would remain under 10 degrees Celsius.
However, some areas of the province will witness smog today.
Forecasting about the province Sindh PMD said the weather will remain cold and dry in most districts of the province. However, there is a possibility of fog and smog during morning and night hours in Jacobabad, Mohenjodaro, Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Ghotki, and Padaidan.
The minimum temperature, 12 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Karachi while winds contain 37 percent humidity in it.
