Parts of Karachi face power outage due to rain and dusty winds
Electricity supply was suspended in different parts of Karachi after the city received rain and windstorms late on Sunday night.
A thunderstorm in FB area, Nazimabad, and Sohrab Goth caused a high-tension electrical wire to trip.
Power was also suspended in North Karachi and Surjani Town, with outages also affecting passengers at the airport.
In Peshawar, dark clouds covered the sky on Monday morning after heavy rains on Sunday night, with the Met Office predicting rains to continue for at least another 24 hours. Temperature also dropped drastically in the city.
Other cities also received intermittent rain as the weather turned cold due to snowfall in the hilly areas. Rain in other areas including Khanewal, Bahawalpur Azad Kashmir, and surrounding areas reported on Monday.
Snowfall was also recorded on the high peaks of the Neelam Valley, causing air pollution to drop in the areas surrounding the valley.
