A man has been arrested in Peshawar after a 10-year-old boy with hearing and speaking impairments was raped. The victim identified the accused, police said.

The child said in his statement which he gave using sign language that he was returning from the school when the accused overpowered him near Shaheedabad, an area located in the jurisdiction of the Tehkal Police Station suspect.

The Police arrested the man after the registration of the First Information Report on the complaint of the victim’s father.

The Superintendent of police said that the suspect was being sent for a DNA test and further action would be taken after the DNA report
