MQM-P leader Aminul Haq on Thursday said his party has not made a final decision about the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Speaking to Geo Haq said that consultations are still ongoing with the government and the Opposition, adding that MQM-P makes its own decisions.

Haq's statement came after the meeting of his party leadership with Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and former president Asif Ali Zardari at a luncheon hosted by the latter in Islamabad on Thursday.

Both sides discussed no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and current political scenario in the country.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and other PPP ministers and office-bearers including Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Murtaza Wahab and Rukhsana Bangash were present in the meeting.

MQM-P delegation led by convener Khalid Maqbool, Aamir Khan, Waseem Akhtar, Aminul Haque and members attended the meeting.

According to the Tribune the PPP has assured the MQM-P of accepting its demands if the party support the opposition’s no-trust motion.

Earlier this month the PPP had claimed to have "reached an understanding" with and decided to work with MQM-P in wider interest of the country.

The MQM-P, in its own statement, had acknowledged that the meeting with the PPP was in continuation of the series of political meetings it has held over the past few days. It had also at that time said that it was yet to decide on its stance on the no-trust move.

A day earlier the government team met the delegation of MQM-P including Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Waseem Akhtar, Amin ul Haq, Khawaja Izharul Hassan and Javed Hanif at parliament lodges.

The PTI delegation comprising Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak and Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar conveyed the Prime Minister Imran Khan's message to MQM-P members.

They said that the MQM-P leadership was assured “all their genuine demands with regard to Karachi” would be addressed as the prime minister himself is concerned about the issues confronting the port city.

The meeting with MQM-P was held after the PTI political committee held a meeting with PM Imran in chair in view of the preparations of the no-confidence motion of the united opposition against the premier, in which the political committee was urged to keep in touch with the allies.
