Sheikh Rasheed suggests PM Imran to declare governor's rule in Sindh
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Thursday has said that he has suggested Prime Minister Imran Khan to impose Governor rule in Sindh, Aaj News reported.
Speaking to the reporters outside the Prime Minister House after meeting PM Khan the interior minister accused Sindh government of using money haphazardly to buy lawmakers' vote adding that it was a conspiracy against the democracy.
Rasheed’s statement comes after PTI MNAs, who are staying at the Sindh House in Islamabad, came out in the open.
Earlier in the day Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhary had hinted that government may take strong action over the alleged horse-trading being conducted in Sindh House.
He alleged those PTI MNAs present in the Sindh House have changed loyalties after receiving money and it is a matter between them and the people of their constituencies.
The minister also clarified that the government was not sending the police to Sindh House.
He claimed that PTI MNAs were attracted to money, and that it was good that they had been "exposed".
Rasheed said that the National Assembly session could be convened on March 21 while the government has announced holidays in the capital on March 21, 22 and 23 in view of the OIC.
Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan in an emergency political meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has tasked Defence Minister Pervaiz Khatak and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to hold meetings with dissident members of the party in order to bring them back into the fold.
