Head of the the National Command and Operation Centre, Asad Umar, announced on Monday that only vaccinated people will be allowed to travel by rail from October 1.

This, hopefully, will help contain the spread of the coronavirus currently in its fourth wave in Pakistan.

On Tuesday the NCOC released the number of vaccinations conducted so far which is 38,722,292.

During Monday's meeting, NCOC also instructed districts in areas where the virus is spreading to ensure people adhere to the SOPs.

They also discussed measures to be followed during Muharram.
