At least 15 people have died from Covid and 1808 tested positive in the last 24 hours according to Monday's NCOC data.

This brings the death toll to 22,597 and active cases to 38,622.

The active number of cases in Sindh are 15,998, in Punjab 17,058, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 10,117, in Islamabad 1,752, in Balochistan 725, in Gilgit-Baltistan 665 and Azad Jammu and Kashmir 700.

The NCOC says the number of recoveries from coronavirus has risen to 913,873 while the number of people affected has reached 975,092.

Last week head of NCOC Asad Umar warned of dire consequences if people did not follow SOPs.

Many have criticized the government for easing restrictions, predicting a surge following the opening of indoor dining, weddings etc.

The Prime Minister also appealed to people on July 8 not to become lax with SOPs and urged everyone to wear a mask.
