The cabinet committee authorizes procurement of more than 1 million vaccines: Asad Umar
1 min readThe cabinet committee for procurement of vaccines held a meeting on Wednesday and authorized the procurement of more than 1 million vaccines against COVID-19, shared Federal Minister of Planning and Development Asad Umar.
The federal minister took to Twitter to share the news. In his tweet, Asad said that the vaccine will be used to cover all frontline health workers.
Asad further added that the government is waiting for the approval of the vaccine from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP):
"Held a meeting of cabinet committee for procurement of vaccines. Authorized procurement of more than 1 million vaccines which will cover all frontline health workers, as soon as DRAP expert committee approves vaccine. The target is to deploy these vaccines within the 1st quarter of 2021."
